2010 Highlights

Few more hours before we enter 2011! This is just another year wrap up, ups and downs and all the shit that happened to me this year. Personally, 2010 was quite disappointing, because of certain reasons. Not quite of what I expected tho I did achieved a few of em!

Chronologically:

Gotten my driving license and my own ride this year!^^,


Became a big, BIG fan of Shoko-tan! =3 I must admit that I stalk her burogu, EVERYDAY! HAHA!

Started my Japanese Class on February 1, but too bad I quit the class last July! =/


June 2010, the year I started to go M.I.A! No updates or news from me on this blog for more than 6 months! Some of the reasons are posted here. I entered college on July and life changed since then. Practical work and assignments were given to us and it was hell tiring! College life is quite different than the one I used to had in secondary schools. College started every 7:30 and ends at 4:30 every school days. The fun part is I get to meet, well of course new friends! They`ve been good to me through all the months. We spent lunch time together and do a lot of activities, too! They are a great people! And they made me the class rep! Being a class rep is quite tough, you are given all the responsibilities and developing leadership quality is not easy y`know! since I had no experience being one before.

Enough with college, let`s talk about this blog for a wahile. I made a few, yup just a few changes on this blog. Made a new banner and a new logo;

Blog stats, there has been a decrease in the number of visitors on this blog due to me being M.I.Aed! But no worries I`ll try to keep you guys with the update tho I can`t promise for a daily update like it used to be since I`m going to be really busy with Exams next year! =/

I bought a few new stuff ever since I`m back in this blogging business. LOL When this blog on hiatus, so do my hobby but I`m back collecting now and here are some of the stuff I got for the last few weeks;

GANTZ World Premiere Promo

Promo for GANTZ World Premiere! People in the States are so lucky! =/



GANTZ live action movie adaptation will have a worldwide premier on January 20, 2011.

GANTZ has been serialized in Young Jump since 2000. Kei Kurono and Masaru Kato are two young man who should be dead after a train accident, but they are summoned back to life by an entity known as GANTZ. Under GANTZ's orders, the two are repeatedly sent on missions to fight against alien beings. So far, 26 volumes of the manga have been released in Japan, selling more than 10 million copies combined.

Kämpfer für die Liebe

This new season will air on March 2011.

The story of Kämpfer centers on Natsuru Senō, an ordinary high school boy who discovers that he has been involuntarily chosen to participate in battles as a "Kämpfer." Moreover, he must have the body of a girl to use his powers in battle.

KatakIjau Humanitarian Relief Support Group is organising a charity drive event for Merapi and Mentawai Disaster Relief Fund, Fund for LLS Autism Centre and Fund for KatakIjau School Support Program TOMORROW, Friday, 31 December 2010 at 8 pm JPCC Playground - Mini Amphiteather

The theme of this event is GEN Y MUSIK FIESTA – A charity contribution by Young Generation who involves and loves Music, Singing, Dancing, Disc Spinning and Performing Arts. The night will fill of energetic performance by the young people that Brunei owned. And it is all about charity and caring community a contribution to the needy.

A few of the many local acts and artistes that have been confirmed are local artistes Putri Norizah, Hill Zaini, Fezz Madea, A Band Once, Magabu, who will appear alongside AJ and ASDE from the talent competition, P2F.

Our own Bruneian cosplayers will also be making their appearance on this event!

Macross F “Sayonara No Tsubasa” Trailer

Macross Frontier the Movie: Wings of Goodbye/Sayonara no Tsubasa is the fifth Macross theatrical film. It is the second of 2 movies that adapts the Macross Frontier television series that ran in 2008. You can watch the trailer using the player below:



The film's title was announced at the end of the first movie, Macross Frontier: The Movie ~Itsuwari no Utahime~. The theatrical release date was announced at the Macross Frontier Girasama Festival held in Yokohama in August 2010.

The movie will be released on February 26, 2011.

SCANDAL`s Pride

More info on SCANDAL`s upcoming single Pride!^^,

As I mentioned on my previous post, their 9th single will be released on February 09, 2011. PRIDE will be used as an ending song for the mecha anime Star Driver: Kagayaki no Takuto. The song is being described as a melodious rock number with the message that one should never give up on their dreams; in order to achieve it, you must consistently evolve.

OOO - DEN-O - ALL RIDERS: LET'S GO KAMEN RIDER!

40th Kamen Rider movie has been confirmed! The movie, titled as OOO - Den-O - All Riders: Let's Go Kamen Rider will be released on April next year!

Aside from being a 40th Anniversary Kamen Rider movie, OOO - Den-O - All Riders: Let's Go Kamen Rider is also said to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of TOEI.

This movie will feature the father of Kamen Rider, the first Kamen Rider; Ichigo. The story will involve traveling through space and time to Kamen Rider 1's world, and it appears that all of the past Kamen Riders will be making an appearance.

Although Kamen Rider 1 appeared in the 2005 remake "Kamen Rider THE FIRST," this will be the character's first time in an original work since "Kamen Rider Vs. Hell Ambassador" in 1972. The title itself is a reference to the theme song "Let's Go!! Rider Kick" used in the original 1971 television series.

Final Fantasy’s “Dissidia 012 [duodecim]” New Trailer

Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy [duodecim] is an upcoming game published by Square Enix. It is a follow-up to Dissidia: Final Fantasy, revealing what occurred before the events of its predecessor.

To recap, characters from the various Final Fantasy worlds are caught in a war between Cosmos, the goddess of harmony, and Chaos, the god of discord. The storyline for this game hasn’t been sufficiently revealed enough yet to determine how they wound up there to begin with, but all that matters now is that the characters must fight for their respective sides in order to decisively end the conflict and return home.

Although the original had a great lineup of playable characters from every Final Fantasy title up to ‘Final Fantasy X’, this prequel boasts an even wider range of beloved heroes and villains. Six new characters have been unveiled so far, and fans have been buzzing over the introductions of “Lightning” (FFXIV), “Tifa” (FFVII), “Kain” (FFIV), “Laguna” (FFVIII), “Vaan” (FFXII), and “Yuna” (FFX).

The developers have also introduced a new gameplay feature called the “Assist” system, which essentially allows players to call upon their tag-team partner if they should need them.

Shoko-tan as Rapunzel

Japan Today reports that Nakagawa Shoko/Shoko-tan will provide the Japanese voice for the main character Rapunzel in the Disney animated film “Tangled.”

‘‘I began collecting Rapunzel figures from America and grew my hair to my waist,’’ Shokotan said expressing her excitement about playing the role during a press conference.

This movie is based on the fairy tale Rapunzel, retelling the story. I watched the movie in 3D last month and I can say that I really enjoyed this movie tho some find it stupid to change the title from Rapunzel to “Tangled.” 7.5/10 from me! xD





The movie will be released in Japan in March.

Toy Wars Online

Toy Wars is an upcoming online third-person shooter game developed by GungHo Online Entertainment. You can say that this is a combination of Toy Story and Small Soldiers! xD Watch the trailer below!



The game is set in the room of a high school club dedicated to figures. Unbeknownst to the club members, their action figures wage secret battles after school when the humans are gone. Sounds cool eh? And the awesome part is GungHo Online Entertainment is collaborating with the team from anime film The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, and thanks to this collaboration, Haruhi Suzumiya, Yuki Nagato, and Mikuru Asahina are available as costumes for players' avatars in the game!

The female figure with the yellow headband and heavy machine gun in the game IS NOT Haruhi, but an original game character named Narumi Ichigōki. The game will launch in Japan next spring.

SCANDAL Announces New Single "PRIDE"

My favorite girls will be releasing their new single soon! The single titled "Pride" will be the group`s first single in 2011. It will be released on February 9th.

The song is being described as a melodious rock number with the message that one should never give up on their dreams; in order to achieve it, you must consistently evolve. The song has already been appointed to be the ending theme for MBS’s anime show, “Star Driver.”

YUI`s 'My Life/Your Heaven' cover

It’s already been confirmed that “It’s My Life” will be used for a television commercial. “It’s My Life” will be used in the new commercial for U-CAN which will begin airing on January 1st. As usual, the single will be released in Regular edition and Limited edition.

Second in the four-part Marvel Anime project, broadcasting after the Iron Man anime. Supernatural: The Animation (OVA)


The studio producing this will be MADHOUSE. The first season will be twenty-two episodes covering the first two seasons of the original, remaking some episodes and adding new ones to include the brothers' childhood, focus on secondary characters, and anime-only enemies.

Yuya Uchida (Soul Eater's Dr. Franken Stein, Naruto Shippūden's Rinji) will dub the role of Sam, while Hiroki Touchi (Trinity Blood's Abel Nightroad, Bokurano's Kokkpelli) will dub the role of Dean. Both actors dubbed these same roles for the live-action version in Japanese.

The Winchester brothers (Sam and Dean) will be designed to look like the original actual actors (Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki). Sub characters: e.g. John, Bobby, Mary, Jessica etc. will be designed in a completely new way to give fresh impression. Enemies (Creatures, Demon and Ghosts) will be given a cool design taking full advantage of Japanese anime expression.

More Update on X-Men First Class

Last year I posted a news stating that X-Men First Class will begin production this year. Here`s an update about the filming:

Charleston, South Carolina's "Live 5 News" reports that filming is underway for X-Men: First Class at Jekyll Island after the production filmed in England for months:

Eric Garvey, chief communications officer for Jekyll Island Authority, said they are very excited to have crews on the island.

"I understand some areas you won't recognize but some areas you will like, for example, the fishing pier will be recognizable in the film. So we are excited about that. Hopefully, it will drive some visitation here and on in the future," said Garvey.

Garvey said producers also have several different locations set up throughout Glynn County.

Jennifer Lawrence, who plays Raven Darkholme/Mystique, also mentioned the shoot to the Courier-Journal:

"X-Men" is going great. We're now in Georgia doing all the battle sequences, so that's fun.

Meanwhile, Kevin Bacon talked very briefly about playing Sebastian Shaw to Philadelphia Style:

In X-Men: First Class, slated to open in early June, Bacon plays mutant villain Sebastian Shaw. Although it's his first major action role (the only thing that comes close, he says, is 2000's Hollow Man), it's not a particularly demanding part physically. "I'll let the younger actors do that," he laughs. "I'm more one of those sit-in-my-chair-and-destroy-the-world type of guys."

Directed by Matthew Vaughn, the June 3 release stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, January Jones, Kevin Bacon, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Caleb Landry Jones, Lucas Till, Edi Gathegi, Jason Flemyng, Oliver Platt, Morgan Lily, Zoe Kravitz and Bill Bilner.

EXILE`s “Each Other’s Way ~Tabi no Tochuu~”

EXILE has announced that they will be releasing a new single, titled “Each Other’s Way ~Tabi no Tochuu~“, on February 9th.

It will be released as two different versions, CD+DVD version and only CD version, and it was also revealed that the lyrics for the song were written by ATSUSHI.

I can`t wait for this new single! I`m a big fan of EXILE myself. My fav single from them, Futatsu no Kuchibiru was used as one of my favorite J-Dorama`s ending theme, Tokyo DOGS. A really great song I must say!^^,

TT Hong Li`s Yellow Gundam Removed

China`s Yellow Gundam, a striking resemblance of RX-78-2 statue in a Chinese amusement park was suddenly removed!

The park officials deny the statues existance and removed the pictures of the shitty statue from their official website. The theme park had covered the statue's face with a vinyl sheet before its removal, and the people working at the park told FNN that the sheet was necessary "for final modifications."

Fate/zero Anime

Fate/zero is a prequel to Type-Moon's visual novel Fate/stay night. The February issue of Kadokawa's Young Ace magazine annouced that this visual novel will get an anime adaptation!

No further info were posted but stay tune for more updates!

A bit of the plot for the VN:
The storyline of Fate/zero takes place 10 years prior to the events of Fate/stay night, detailing the events of the 4th Holy Grail War in Fuyuki City. The War of the Holy Grail, pursuing the power of the "Holy Grail" which grants a miracle, this is a contest in which seven magi summon seven Heroic Spirits to compete for it. In that battle whose conclusion was postponed three times, now, the fourth war commenced again.

China`s 'Yellow Gundam'

More images of China`s Gundam! A fucking rip-off!! The first picture that were posted were kinda dark, these new pictures shows that the color of this giant fake gundam are yellowish.

This Gundam was built in loraland park in Chengdu, China and they claimed it was their original design, like WTF man? it`s a total rip-off of RX-78-2!

The report confirms that almost every aspect of the Chinese giant robot is a copied from Japan’s Gundam. It also mocks the shoddy appearance of the Chinese robot, which is made with fabric.

The report includes the audio of a phone call made to the park, with a park spokesman saying it’s not a copy and he doesn’t see any resemblance between it and the Japanese Gundam.

Fuji TV closes the report by comparing it to the infamous fake Disneyland. Its narrator wonders if the fake Gundam will still be around by Christmas….
