Kabuto Makes Me Hungry

Watching Kamen Rider Kabuto really made me hungry! lol I finished watching Kabuto few weeks ago it and now it`s time to do a lil review on this series!

Kamen Rider Kabuto is the sixteenth installment in Kamen Rider Series and it represents the 35th anniversary of the the series.

The story revolves around a man named Souji Tendou. He has trained seven years while waiting for the Kabuto Zecter so that he may properly take up the name of Kamen Rider Kabuto. Making many enemies while at the same time meeting other Riders with mysterious origins of how they got there, Tendou attempts to accomplish his goal at all costs: destroying all Worms that otherwise threaten humanity. He meets Arata Kagami, who later becomes Kamen Rider Gatack, the two work together to save humanity from the alien Worms that arrived from a meteorite seven years ago.

Our main lead, Tendou Souji, a mysterious, arrogant, quiet 21-year old man. He often spouts amazingly appropriate zen-like phrases he supposedly learned from his grandmother, prefacing them with "Grandmother used to say..."

He also often does a 'point to the sky' pose, usually after he defeats a Worm or introduces himself. Tendou has no actual job and does not attend college because he believes that he is destined for something bigger (which is becoming Kabuto). Tendou loves food and he is skilled in cooking! You can see loads of food in this series! XD It almost look like a cooking show specially in the cooking subplot from episodes 29 & 30. You can watch it in the player below:

Kamen Rider Kabuto fights 'WORMS', a creature that have the ability to mimic any person they come in contact with. They are an alien life form that came from a meteor destroying the city district of Shibuya seven years prior to the series' timeline.

Aggressive to humans, Worms attempt to blend into the human population by copying the faces of their victims along with their memories. They only need to look at the human to copy their image, but once done so, they attempt to kill the original. However, the Worms believe the person that was mimicked now exists as a part of them due the fact they also acquired their victims' personalities. Despite being able to copy both image and memory, they are unable to copy certain things such as scent.

The pupa form is known as a Salis, taking on the shape of a chrysalis. A Salis normally has a green body, except for the albino one known as a Mutation Salis which has a white body.

After a Worm is threatened or endangered, it has the ability to molt, revealing a stronger form that can move at blinding speeds which comes from their high metabolism.

Different series, different character, different personality and skill. Like in previous Kamen Rider series, all it`s main character are skilled in certain stuff (except for Ryotaro who had a bad luck, lol). Like I mentioned above, the main lead in this series is skilled in cooking. He loves food and you can see him cooking in all the episodes!

Kamen Rider series are usually focused on it`s main storyline around episode 20-30 and the same goes to Kabuto. There is no explanation on the very first episode but IMO it is a actually a good way to make you come back for more! Hiro Mizushima did a really good job playing the arrogant and mysterious Tendou Souji.

Opening theme:

Another reason why I love Kamen Riders are because there are loads of Hotties and Cuties in it!! (^W^)

Here`s my favorite in Kabuto! =3

Yui Satonaka: She played the moody and shy Hiyori Kusakabe, who is more comfortable talking to inanimate objects than people.

Natsumi Okumura: She played Tendou's younger sister. But in truth she seems to be his younger cousin. They were both taken in by their grandmother after the Shibuya meteorite crash. She's really close to Souji, who she calls Onii-chan, and tends to act the same way he does; such as talking about her grandmother and pointing to the sky. She is sooo kawaii!! I wish I had a lil sister like her! =3

Anna Nagata: One of ZECT`s member and she is HOT!

Kamen Rider Kabuto is indeed one of my favorite Kamen Rider series. It is not that memorable like Kamen Rider Den-O but I really enjoy watching the series! If you wish to start the show, you can watch it on Henshin Channel!^^,

FINAL SCORE: B-
