Kamen Rider W (Pronounce Double) starts airing yesterday. I downloaded the first episode(Subbed from YouTube) this morning and finish watching it few hours ago! Let`s start with the story and the cast!^^

Story:

In the ecologically-minded city of Futo (translated as "Wind Capital"), there are many windmills and the people live in harmony. However, the Sonozaki Family sell mysterious USB memory sticks called Gaia Memories to criminals who use them to become monsters called Dopants, committing crimes with the police force powerless to stop them. The hardboiled (or rather half-boiled) detective Shotaro Hidari works with the mysterious Phillip who possesses the true Gaia Memory. Using their own Gaia Memories, Shotaro and Phillip use the Double Driver belts to transform and combine into Kamen Rider Double to fight the Dopant menace. [Wikipedia]

Kamen Rider W is quiet unique, replacing cards(but not all Kamen Rider uses cards) to USB Memory Sticks and needed two person to henshin. But the first episode shows that both of them doesn`t need to be at the same place to henshin. The Rider kick from Double looks kinda odd to me. Watch the video below:




I don`t favor their costume much, well like one of my friend said, Double`s costume looked like a layer cake! lol XD

Opening theme(W-B-X~W boiled extreme~) performed by Aya Kamiki with former JUDY AND MARY guitarist TAKUYA as the unit "Aya Kamiki w TAKUYA".


The opening theme is OK but I still love Kamen Rider Decade`s opening theme! Well, maybe because Decade got all previous Kamen Riders on its opening theme!

Hikaru Yamamoto as Akiko Narumi (Another reason why I love Kamen Rider; the cute heroine!!! ;3) She`s cute and funny, but got the habit hitting people on the head! =="

Episode 1 summary:
"Double's Search/Two Detectives in One"

In the city of Futo, detective Shotaro Hidari has an unpleasant visit from his new boss Akiko Narumi, who has just arrived after learning that her father has gone missing. As Shotaro learns of the girl's relation to his mentor and boss, hiding what became of him, his childhood friend Marina Tsumura arrives in need of his help in finding her boyfriend Yousuke Togawa. Taking the case, with Akiko tailing him against his will, learns from his best friend Detective Mikio Jinno that the Windscale building Yousuke works at has been destroyed by a Dopant. Though curious, Akiko is freaked out when she and Shotaro are attacked by the Magma Dopant. Later that night, deciding to leave town, Akiko ends up stumbling onto a secret room where she meets Shotaro's partner Phillip. As Shotaro explains what the Dopant are, Phillip finally reaches a conclusion of the link between Yousuke and the Dopant attack by dawn as he accesses the Gaia Library to put the pieces together before Shotaro heads out. Shotaro finds Yousuke, with knowledge of the man's love of takoyaki, approaching him to have him return to Marina. However, Yousuke transforms into the Magma Dopant, to attack Shotaro. Shotaro calls Phillip, who uses the Cyclone Memory in his own belt, which travels with his soul to Shotaro's Double Driver, allowing Shotaro to transform into Kamen Rider Double. Double battles the Magma Dopant, before transforming into LunaJoker to use his limb-stretching powers to overpower the Dopant. Double transforms back into CycloneJoker to execute the Joker Extreme, destroying the Magma Memory and returning Yousuke back to normal. However, before Double can do anything, Yousuke is taken by the T-Rex Dopant as Double takes chase on the Machine Hardboilder and summoning the Revolgarry with Akiko and Phillip's body inside.
