2,000 Pears Stolen From Trees
IBARAKI - About 2,000 “Akizuki” pears were stolen straight off the trees from an orchard in Shimotsuma city on Sunday. Police said the theft was discovered Monday by the 66-year-old farmer who owns the field.
Police said the pears are estimated to be worth 300,000 yen.
