Japanese Language: Class 7



Yoh minna! I`m back again with lesson 7! LOL XD Yanai-sensei taught us some important vocubalry last Wednesday:

Hon = Book
Jisho = Dictionary
Zasshi = Magazine
Shinbun = Newspaper
Noto = Notebook
Techo = Diary
Meishi = Name/Busines card
Kado = Card
Terehon Kado = Telephone Card
Enpitsu = Pencil
Borupen = Ball Pen
Shapu Penshiru = Sharp/Mechanical Pencil
Kagi = Key
Tokei = Wall Clock
Kasa = Umbrella
Kaban = Bag
Tepu = Tape
Terebi = Television
Rajio = Radio
Kamera = Camera
Kompyuta = Computer
Jidosha = Car
Tsukue = Table
Isu = Chair
Chokoreto = Chocolate
Kohi = Coffee

After that she taught us few prefixes; Kore, sore and are.

Kore = This is
Sore = That is
Are = Over there

Example:
Kore wa enpitsu desu = This is a pencil.

Kore wa enpitsu desu ka? = Is this a pencil?
- Hai, enpitsu desu.
or
- Iie, enpitsu ja arimasen

She added that you can also use any of these two words to answer yes or no in a simple way;
Hai, so desu = Yes it is.
Iie, so ja arimasen = No it isn`t

Kore wa nan desu ka? = What is this?
- Kore wa [Object] desu.

More example:

Kore wa enpitsu desu ka, boru pen desu ka? = Is this a pencil, or a ball pen?
- Kore wa enpitsu desu, sore mo enpitsu desu. This is a pencil, that is a pencil too.

Thats all for today. Tonight is Kumagai-sensei`s class and I just remembered something, "NO ENGLISH NEXT CLASS." OMG!!!! I`m not ready yet!! Wish me luck guys!! T.T
