First Impression: Letter Bee(Tegami Bachi)

Gauche is a governmental employee, given the task to deliver any letter to it's destination. Meeting a young boy who is the letter to be delivered, Gauche makes friends with Lag and inspires him to take up the job. Five years later, Lag Seeing finally becomes his dream, that of a Letter Bee. However, the one who inspired him has gone missing and only there does the mystery start.

Lag Seeing

The main lead of Letter Bee.

Gauche Suede

Lag's rescuer. He is the letter bee that finds young Lag Seeing marked as a letter in "Coza Bel", a small town in the "Yodaka District" (The low class district in Amberground).

A series usually start with 'something unusual' happened around the character but Letter Bee however starts slowly with only introducing two characters(not counting Gauche`s Dingo). The first episode of this anime contained no surprises or whatsoever and it just covered half of the first chapter of its manga BUT this wont be a problem for anyone who didnt read the manga(Like me, I only read the manga halfway and didn`t even reach chapter 3!). Gauche Suede is voiced by Jun Fukuyama (one of my favorite seiyuu! Not familiar with him? He voiced Lelouch before!). No wonder he sounded familiar to me. [SPOILER! Gauche also has a paralyzed sister just like Lelouch!] Lag is a cute boy who got his mother taken away by some evil orgnization. In the later episodes, just like in the manga he also becomes one of the 'Letter Bee'.

In this series, Letter Bee fought a giant insect called 'Gaichuu'. It is a giant insects covered in jeweled armor, they live in the dark lands outside of the artificial sunlight and attack anyone who travels along the darkened paths. They are said be spirit insects that lost their hearts. These insects are made by CG in the anime. Some people are having a problem with CG in a normal anime but I don`t! =) To me they blended really well.^^

I am 100% following this anime even though it wont be the best series for this new season!^^
