Zac Efron and Death Note

"I love Death Note, and we were, kind of, working on it right now. You know, it's not…it's definitely not something that would be coming up soon. [Turns to Me and Orson Welles director Richard Linklater] What's the classic answer, Rick? 'It's not on the front burner.' No, no, it's something that was … I feel like, regardless of whatever I say, it's going to [interpreted by the media to] be my next movie. No, it's not. It was an idea. Who knows? I had a meeting on it."

No way we don't need a remake. The original Japanese Death Note movies are already great. There's no reason for them to do this huge mistake. :)

One word and ONE WORD ONLY:-

NO!

We already have 2 DN movies; Death Note and DN: the Last word or something. We don't NEED any remakes.

Just look at the remake version of Dragon Ball. Look what they did! They just ruin the great animé with some poor, cheap rip-off that American made. It's not a same taste as Japanese did. So I say this again;

NO!
